What Are A.TR and EUR.1? Do You Need to Prepare Them?
A.TR Certificate
A.TR is a movement certificate used under the customs union between Türkiye and the European Union. It is frequently used for eligible apparel shipments to EU countries and may provide a customs duty advantage.
When A.TR is applicable, EY-TAY includes it in the export operation and follows the documentation process.
EUR.1 Certificate
EUR.1 is one of the documents used to prove preferential origin in trade with certain countries that have a preferential trade agreement with Türkiye.
EY-TAY and its customs adviser determine whether EUR.1, EUR-MED or an origin declaration is required.

How Do Tax and Delivery Work?
A.TR or an applicable proof of origin may provide a customs duty advantage for some shipments. Import VAT may still apply under the rules of the destination country.

Do I need to find a separate customs company?
EY-TAY follows the export documents, Turkish export customs and shipping organisation. If a local customs representative is required in the destination country, the process is coordinated with the logistics company and the customer.
Do I need to prepare the A.TR or EUR.1 document myself?
No. EY-TAY checks which document is required and prepares the export file accordingly.
Does an A.TR mean that no tax is payable at all?
An A.TR may provide a customs duty advantage for eligible goods. Import VAT may still apply under the rules of the destination country.
Do you ship wholesale clothing to the United Kingdom?
Yes. For the United Kingdom, an origin declaration compliant with the Türkiye-United Kingdom trade arrangement is prepared instead of an A.TR, and the shipment is followed accordingly.
