THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF
WHOLESALE FASHION IN TURKEY
How EY-TAY combines manufacturing expertise with online catalogues, B2B ordering, private-label production and global export support.
We Did Not Learn This Model Later: We Took Manufacturing Online
EY-TAY's digital wholesale story is not merely the story of launching a website. Behind the online channel are product development, fabric selection, pattern making, cutting, sewing, quality control, packing and export experience. The digital channel did not replace real manufacturing; it shortened the distance between manufacturer and commercial buyer.
Traditional wholesale buying often required buyers to travel to Istanbul and select products during limited business hours. The online B2B model made product codes, images, size runs and commercial information accessible to boutiques in different countries at any time.
1975–1986–2018: Three Stages of Transformation
1975 • Textile Experience
The family manufacturing culture and textile market knowledge behind EY-TAY date back to 1975.
1986 • The EY-TAY Identity
From 1986 onward, this experience developed into a corporate womenswear identity under the EY-TAY name.
2018 • Documented Digital Era
The earliest registered customer record shows that the online infrastructure was active no later than 18 March 2018. Personal data remain confidential.
What Makes the Online B2B Manufacturer Model Different?
Direct Manufacturer Access
The digital storefront is backed by real womenswear manufacturing and product-development expertise.
Current Product Flow
New styles are presented with product codes, images, sizes and commercial information.
Transparent Information
Buyers can review products, prices and size runs without travelling to Istanbul.
Global Ordering
Boutiques worldwide gain remote access to Istanbul's manufacturing ecosystem.
Private Label
Suitable high-volume orders may include custom labels, packaging and production planning.
Export Support
Commercial documents, customs paperwork, packing and logistics can be coordinated according to the order.
Why Do We Use the Word “Pioneer”?
There is no complete independent database recording the launch date of every wholesale fashion website in Turkey. For this reason, EY-TAY does not use unverifiable claims such as being the absolute first or an officially ranked number one.
The verifiable position remains powerful: EY-TAY is one of the early Turkish manufacturers to apply a direct online B2B wholesale womenswear model. Its production history, identity and anonymised customer record dated 18 March 2018 provide a clear timeline.
Why Does the Growth of Turkish E-Commerce Matter?
According to the Turkish Ministry of Trade's 2025 report, Turkey's e-commerce volume exceeded TRY 4.5 trillion. Clothing, footwear and accessories represented the largest sector by value at TRY 428.7 billion.
EY-TAY's online customer system was documented as active before the market reached today's scale, reflecting a manufacturer that recognised the direction of digital fashion commerce early.
“The Same Product Is Cheaper Elsewhere”: Is It Really the Same Product?
The same photograph, a similar product name or a visually close design does not prove that two garments are identical. A catalogue image can be downloaded, reposted and used to advertise goods that the seller may not even hold in stock.
A genuine comparison must include fabric composition and weight, yarn quality, colour consistency, pattern balance, graded measurements, cutting, stitch density, lining, zips, buttons, printing, embroidery, finishing and final inspection.
Image or Physical Product?
Request a current detail photograph or live video of the exact product.
Is the Fabric Equal?
Composition, weight, stretch, drape and colour durability influence quality and price.
Are Sizes Consistent?
Balanced grading helps prevent customer dissatisfaction and costly returns.
Is Workmanship Equal?
Seams, overlocking, hems, lining and accessory attachment determine durability.
Does the Stock Exist?
Actual stock, correct variants and preparation time should be verified.
Who Takes Responsibility?
An invoice, registered order and reachable after-sales team are part of the real offer.
A Cheap Price Tag Is Not the Same as a Low Total Cost
A garment may appear a few euros cheaper, yet incorrect sizing, substituted fabric, incomplete cartons, defective sewing, an unreachable seller, lack of invoice or unavailable repeat stock can quickly eliminate the difference.
True cost includes sellable quantity, defect rate, customer returns, payment and delivery risk, repeat-order continuity, customs compliance and time spent resolving problems.
Displayed Price
The number shown in a listing, which may exclude tax, packing, transport and documentation.
True Cost
Sellable quality, correct goods, secure payment, timely shipment and an effective solution.
Value for a Boutique
A product that can be sold confidently and supported by an accountable supplier.
What Should Buyers Check on Telegram, Instagram and Unidentified Seller Accounts?
Selling through Telegram, Instagram or WhatsApp is not by itself evidence of fraud. Risk increases when the social profile is the seller's only presence and no verifiable company, address, website, physical product, documentation or accountable person exists behind it.
Not every new website is dishonest. However, limited history requires stronger verification of the legal identity, bank beneficiary, invoice, products and delivery conditions.
Higher-Risk Warning Signs
- The seller is reachable only through messaging applications
- No legal name, business address, invoice information or official channel is provided
- Payment is requested to an unrelated personal account
- An unusually low price is combined with pressure to pay immediately
- The seller avoids live video, detail photographs, measurements or samples
- Images appear to come from unrelated manufacturers and codes do not match
- Invoices, proformas, shipping terms and defect procedures cannot be provided
- The website, email, social account, bank beneficiary and company name do not match
One warning sign alone is not definitive proof of fraud. Several signs appearing together, however, materially increase the risk.
A 12-Step Wholesale Supplier Verification Checklist
01 • Company Identity
Verify the legal name, invoice details and operating address.
02 • Domain and Email
Watch for lookalike domains and email addresses that do not match the company.
03 • Operating History
A short history requires stronger verification of company, goods, payment and delivery.
04 • Official Registries
Use available registries while remembering that registration alone is not a safety guarantee.
05 • Live Product Evidence
Request current video showing the exact code, label, fabric and measurements.
06 • Reverse Image Search
Check where and by whom the product photographs are being used.
07 • Written Quotation
Obtain codes, quantities, sizes, colours, prices, payment and delivery terms in writing.
08 • Bank Beneficiary
Confirm that the beneficiary matches the company or an explainable authorised party.
09 • Sample or Small Order
Test a new supplier with a sample or controlled small order where practical.
10 • Contact Consistency
Confirm that website, telephone, email, social accounts and documents identify the same business.
11 • After-Sales Procedure
Understand the process for missing, incorrect or defective items before ordering.
12 • Total Landed Cost
Calculate goods, transport, tax, customs, documents, packing, defects and returns together.
What Separates EY-TAY From an Unidentified Online Listing?
EY-TAY's trust position is not based on follower counts. Behind the brand are textile experience dating to 1975, the EY-TAY identity maintained since 1986 and an internal record showing that the online customer system was active no later than 18 March 2018.
The value of a wholesale order is not limited to a product image. Manufacturing knowledge, correct product codes, size runs, order records, packing, commercial documents, export preparation and a reachable counterpart must work within the same system.

WE DID NOT TRY TO LOOK LIKE A MANUFACTURER ONLINE.
WE WERE ALREADY MANUFACTURERS; WE TOOK MANUFACTURING ONLINE.
A photograph is easy to copy. Decades of manufacturing experience, quality control and commercial accountability are not.
EXPLORE WHOLESALE COLLECTIONSFrequently Asked Questions
When did EY-TAY begin online wholesale sales?
The online registration and customer system was active no later than 18 March 2018.
If another account uses an EY-TAY photograph, is it the same product?

Is a new website automatically unsafe?
No. Limited history means company identity, bank beneficiary, samples, invoices and live product evidence require stronger verification.
Does ETBIS registration guarantee safety?
No. Registration alone does not guarantee that a website or individual transaction is safe.
Why is the cheapest offer not always the most profitable?
Profit depends on sellable quality, sizing, defects, returns, delivery, repeat stock and after-sales support as well as purchase price.
